Skylar Advisor

  • Updated the layout of the Dashboards page in the Skylar Advisor user interface.

  • Added a Persona button to the top navigation of the Recent Activity tab on the Dashboards page and updated the Persona wizard. On the Persona page, you can select your preferred tabs for a more personalized experience.

  • Enhanced team workflows with a persona-based Recent Activity dashboard, supervisor assignment and coaching. This update also includes health scoring by service, device, and organization, and an automatic sweep that closes idle Advisory threads.

  • Improved answers from Ask Skylar chats, including multi-step answers, better follow-up handling, smarter tool selection, and several new reporting tools (Fleet Leaders, Capacity Forecast, Membership, Device Inventory).

  • Added the following options to the Skylar Advisor Preview Features page:

    • Topic Specialists. Enables AI agents that are trained on a specific problem domain to review every Advisory, producing a cited verdict, recommendation, or remediation plan.

    • Trusted Certificates. Connect to MCP servers with certificates from your organization's private certificate authority.

    • Alert Builder. You can stream your own OpenTelemetry metrics into Skylar AI and build alerts based on those metrics. Skylar Advisor can then use those metrics to create Advisories and Investigations.

    • Entity Exclusion. Excludes specific device groups and business services from Skylar Analytics as needed.

    • SLO Docs. Tracks Service Level Objectives (SLOs) based on documents that you upload to the SLOs folder in the Corpus, written in a set format.

    • Auto-close. Enables Skylar Advisor to close Advisories, Predictions, and Investigations if they have not had any activities for a specific time frame.

For more information about these preview features, see Enabling New Features on the Preview Features Page.

  • "Graduated" three former Preview Features, making them permanent elements of the Skylar Advisor user interface: Web Search, Claim & Close, and Corpus Tools.

  • You can use the Impact Analysis option from the menu at the top of an Advisory to include or exclude "catch-all" device groups and business services from event correlations to prevent unrelated events from being merged into a single Advisory and to ensure the entity map displays only meaningful connections. Skylar Advisor automatically detects and excludes these catch-all groups by default, though you can manually override these exclusions or reset them to automatic via the user interface.

  • Added the upload source to the Knowledge Center page for the Corpus view to shows a UI or API tag when you hover over a file. You can also filter by upload source by clicking More Filters from the filter pane at the top of the Corpus view. (Jira ID: SKY-5335)

  • Added a Filter by org field to the filter options on the Corpus view of the Knowledge Center page cont. This filter lets you the list of document s by organization ID or name. Additionally, the upload panel now features an Organization field that you can use to tag files with a single organization during the upload process. (Jira ID: SKY-5290)

  • Updated the MCP Services tab on the Agentic Control Plane page to support safe bulk operations and improved tool discovery. Updates include editable hints and display names to help you better identify and use the appropriate tools.

  • Added search and sort functionality to the Users, Skylar Advisor, and Agents & Tools on the Leaderboards section of the Customer Insights page.

Skylar Analytics

  • Added a High Availability (HA) option to ClickHouse for Skylar Analytics, enabling a default replica count of three with mandatory deployment across separate nodes or Availability Zones. New availability profile overrides allow users to customize these requirements, supporting either a "soft-ha" mode for preferred spreading or a "no-ha" mode to disable high availability entirely. Additionally, Keeper HA now defaults to requiring replicas on separate nodes, and new HA-related metrics are available in Prometheus for enhanced cluster monitoring.

Predictive Alerting

  • Optimized the predictive alerting query for filesystems to reduce the volume of data read from ClickHouse, improving system efficiency and reducing the risk of query timeouts on large datasets.

Skylar AI Platform and Skylar Settings

  • Accepting the End User License Agreement now requires that you click a checkbox to acknowledge the agreement before you can click the "Accept" button.

  • Service providers and administrators can now schedule, edit, or cancel maintenance windows, which trigger a system-wide notification banner for all users. The banner color changes as the maintenance window approaches.

  • If the session inactivity timeout value for a Super User or a standard user is adjusted on the Authentication page ( > Account Access > Authentication) of Skylar Settings, the affected user does not get logged out after the new timeout value expires (if that user is currently logged in and remains inactive).

  • Addressed an issue that occurred when the session inactivity timeout value for a Super User or a standard user is adjusted on the Authentication page ( > Account Access > Authentication) of , the affected user does not get logged out after the new timeout value expires (if that user is currently logged in and remains inactive). (Jira IDs: SKY-3734, SKY-3732)

  • Updated the Skylar AI Installation Guide with revised requirements for NGINX ingress controllers, clarified Kubernetes CIDR configurations, and added guidance on licensing and provisioning timing.

Issues Addressed in Version 2.8.0

This section lists the issues that were addressed in this release.

Anomaly Detection

  • Optimized the anomaly-count query performance to resolve intermittent 504 Gateway Timeout errors and "No Row Yet" messages when viewing a device's Anomaly Detection tab or Anomaly Chart. (Case: 00642878) (Jira ID: SKY-3831)

Skylar Advisor

  • Improved the accuracy of Natural Language Processing (NLP) responses for fleet leader metrics. The system now correctly handles "Top N" phrasing and accurately reports utilization values that reach 100%. (Jira ID: SKY-5342)

  • Addressed an issue where clicking away from the downvote feedback popover would remove the ability to add a comment to the feedback. (Jira ID: SKY-5195)

  • Addressed an issue where the Configured panel on the Web Search view of the Knowledge Center page was not scrollable, preventing access to all entries. (Jira ID: SKY-5150)

  • Addressed a discrepancy where the "Users" count badge on the Users page ( > Account Settings > Account Access > Users) did not match the actual number of rows rendered in the Users table. (Jira ID: SKY-5143)

  • Resolved an issue where the table on the Users page failed to filter correctly when applying search terms, status checkboxes, or group dropdowns. The table now correctly renders only the rows that match the selected filter criteria. (Jira ID: SKY-5141)

Skylar Analytics: Data Visualization

  • Addressed UNKNOWN_DATABASE and UNKNOWN_SETTING errors in the ClickHouse logs caused by cross-environment query mismatches. (Jira ID: SKY-4282)

Skylar AI Platform and Skylar Settings

  • Removed compromised eMudhra certificate for CVE-2026-111943, CVE-2026-114406, and other services.

  • Resolved a critical issue on the IP Whitelist page ( > Account Settings > Account Access > IP Whitelist) where adding or editing IP whitelist entries might cause accidental account lockouts or the deletion of the entire whitelist. The save process now correctly includes all existing entries alongside new changes. (Jira ID: SKY-5354)

  • Added a proactive warning message that displays in the Skylar AI user interface when a user adds or edits IP whitelist entries, asking users to make sure their own IP is in the list. (Jira ID: SKY-3139)

  • Addressed an issue where the Sign-In form intermittently disappeared while navigating through page elements using the Tab key. (Jira ID: SKY-5056)

  • Resolved an issue that prevented administrators from deleting users who were in an "Invite Pending" state. (Jira ID: SKY-4964)

  • Addressed an issue where the session inactivity timeout failed to expire while a browser tab remained open. (Jira ID: SKY-5417)

Known Issues

This section lists the known issues in Skylar Advisor for this release.

  • After provisioning a Skylar AI system, the system requires approximately ten minutes to fully stabilize before you can use it. (Jira ID: SKY-5053)

  • A Skylar AI instance can ingest telemetry from multiple external sources, but only one Skylar One system should be configured to send telemetry to that Skylar AI instance to prevent data collisions and potential data corruption. To avoid this situation, do not reuse a Skylar AI authentication token with more than one Skylar One systems that are sending data to that Skylar AI instance. (Jira ID: SKY-3538)

  • In the Skylar AI user interface, Admin, Editor, or Viewer user types are currently unable to access the Data Visualization page directly using the Analytics link, resulting in a 403 error. Currently only Owner users can log in to Skylar Analytics using this link. (Case: 00725289) (Jira ID: SKY-5262)

  • An Advisory in Skylar Advisor might get re-ingested into Skylar One as a new event, potentially causing duplicate Advisories. (Jira ID: SKY-5445)

  • If you have the zoom for your browser set to 110% or higher, you will not be able to add your multi-factor (MFA) information because the footer covers the input boxes. To work around this issue, set your browser to 100% zoom or less. (Jira ID: SKY-5337)

  • Dynamic Application objects with special characters in the name might conflict with other objects in Skylar AI reporting tables. The workaround for this issue is to modify the Dynamic Application objects so that the name does not contain a special character. (Case: 00617628) (Jira ID: SKY-3305)

  • If you had customized tables and views in an older version of the Data Visualization component of Skylar Analytics, that data will not display correctly if you upgrade to Skylar AI version 2.1.0. Any tables and views created in the local database require that the "InstID" and "OrgID" columns contain data for related datasets, charts, and dashboards to be functional. You should not experience this issue if your tables and views in the local database contain values in the "InstID" and "OrgID" columns. (Jira ID: SKY-3824)

  • If an Administrator user removes the "Event Trends (Sample)" dashboard on the Manage Bundles tab of the Dashboards page, the dashboard still appears in the Data Visualization component of Skylar Analytics. Also, if the "Interface Explorer (Sample)" dashboard is added using the Dashboards page, that dashboard does not display in Data Visualization. (Jira IDs: SKY-3739, SKY-3737)

  • Skylar AI uses unique PowerPack naming conventions for creating datasets in the Data Visualization component. If you change the name of a PowerPack, Skylar AI triggers a new dataset, which will cause charts to fail and lose the historical data for that PowerPack. At this time, ScienceLogic recommends that you do not rename any PowerPacks in Skylar One if that Skylar One system is connected to a Skylar AIenvironment.

  • When Anomaly Detection trains on a metric whose declared unit is "%", the upper bound of the AD confidence band is constrained to 100 based on the assumption that percentage-unit metrics fall within 0–100. However, this setting does not account for metrics that could return values above 100%. For more information, see the following Knowledge Base Article (KBA) at the ScienceLogic Support Center: https://support.sciencelogic.com/s/article/21269. (Case: 00643786) (Jira ID: SKY-3763)
